Created and printed by Liberty in 1979, Poiret Shell is a charming conversational featuring cloud-shaped seashells adorned with tiny bundles of spots and stars, representing the fanciful illustrations of artist Raoul Dufy. This print is part of The Cast act of Retold, bringing into the spotlight this play’s cast of architects, writers, artists, and designers have paved the way for the artistic movements Liberty have heralded since our doors first opened - leading figures that have played an integral part in weaving new narratives into the fabric of the building.
Liberty's Tana Lawn™ cotton is a fabric built by obsession, perfected into a modern masterpiece of production through a bespoke process that has evolved over a century. Printed in their very own Liberty Printing Mill, located between Milan and Lake Como in northern Italy, Tana realises unmatchable fluidity with a silk-like touch, unique print quality and striking colour vibrancy. Machine washable and durable enough for daily wear, it can be used to create everything from simple separates to spectacular statement pieces.
